I was raised in rain-drenched lands. This landscape and its people have inspired and influenced my work ever since.

– BRÍD FITZPATRICK, AUTHOR, SCREENWRITER, DIRECTOR

I was born in Connemara on the West Coast of Ireland and raised amongst ancient storytellers in rain-drenched lands. This landscape and its people have inspired and influenced my work ever since.

After gaining a degree in English from Birkbeck College, University of London, I did further study in Irish Literature and History as a Royal Society of Arts Degree.

I then went on to obtain a Masters’ Degree in Filmmaking at Goldsmith College, University of London. My first short film, Waves Without Sound, was selected by the British Film Council, screened internationally and won the Audience’s Choice Award at the Galway Film Festival.
